Ok cool Yeah Mrs Thatcher did come to mind at one point.

John is an expression in England ,which is similar to the US's john doe,an unknown person. Also Maggie is about Margaret Thatcher , who was a bitch ,moose,who was responsible for the highest unemployment levels in this country,not to mention other things. I would assume Roger was aware of this and hated her as much as the rest of us ,and also will celebrate her miserable death as much as us as well .[rustle rustle....rumaging for the banners and flags]

Well maybe not the rest of us as she served 3? terms as prime minister so plenty of people liked her enough to vote her back in! Ironically it was 'The Falklands war' that saved her ass in the following election Although she was responsible for lot's of bad things in this country, she also had some positive effects (defeating overly powerful trade unionism for one).

She was only allowed to shaft the country because of our nonsensical voting system. Her vote was always a minority (around 43%, even at the height of her popularity) and a majority always voted against her. And yet she ruled with enormous majorities.

The current government was elected on a much smaller percentage than 43%. They will never change the system because they now it will result in hung parliaments and a government made up of coalitions and then God help us!
