FLOYD for GLASTONBURY?

Now, you know it's far from me to spread silly rumours and that, but here's a snippet which may be of interest.

I was listening to the Brain Morton show on Radio Scotland on the way home this evening and they were garbling on about how back catalogue CDs are generally selling more than new releases. They had a chap from MOJO magazine (my fave - the prize PF back catalogue CDs look super on my shelf) on, attempting to explain the phenomenon. Anyhow, and here's the rub, he said (and I paraphrase reasonably accurately) ...

'... artists like Pink Floyd still sell about 3 million CDs a year, even though they're defunct ... although perhaps I shouldn't say that because I believe they're playing Glastonbury this year ...'

Not exactly a new silly rumor, unfortunately...

..and if I ever find the blathering idiot at the Glastonbury Office Of Media Affairs (or whatever) who substituted the words 'PINK FLOYD' for 'ROGER WATERS,' before announcing the headlining acts, I will surely give that person a sound kick in the ass for the havoc already being wreaked all over the internet.

Sounds like a better plan to have Roger there anyway. I might even have thought of going this year if I wasn't going to see the miserable old sod in Budapest instead ...
