Now that is SPOOKY. I was at the shop earlier for a newspaper and the kid wanted a lolliepop thingy that has a little toy inside. The toy was a miniature globe key ring. After reading your post, I thought I'd show Megan where we live on the map, and lo and behold, the UK is missing ! It's a SIGN I tells ya !

The UK is submerged in 2053, Marty. Your lollipop was sent back through time to discredit Tim Martin in that Global Warming thread, but missed by a few weeks.

Gaaaahh, time travel does my nut in. Recently read a book by Robert Silverberg ( can't recall the title ) about time travel. It really took the subject to it's extreme limits.

Then avoid a Robert Heinlein story called 'All You Zombies'. Avoid it like the plague. Do not look for the collection called 'The Unpleasant Profession Of Jonathan Hoag'.
You bin warned now.

My favorite time travel story is by Stanislaw Lem in 'Star Diaries.' (The seventh journey.) It also pushes the subject to extreme limits, but probably not the same ones.
