I've always liked 'Us and Them' from DSOTM, and I am looking for a longer live version. Did they ever do any other interpretations of this song live? Like the live version of Fat Old Sun, which is truly spectacular. If they never did any variations, does anyone know any especially long version of 'Us and Them' available on any ROIO? Thanks for your help!

Find the Blue Floyd show from 1/31/00. They performed a 25-min long version of Us And Them with a great jam inside.

You saw Blue Floyd too?

Great show. First time I had been in the Crystal Ballroom. http://www.mcmenamins.com/Crystal/index.html

The rocked. Even got the guitarist high during intermission. (Got patted down going in, but had a few joints of great stuff secreted on my person)

Wish I could find some of the stuff on Kazaa.

My dad has a live version on vinyl that's pretty long. They originally played it slower in concert. Unlike the sped up version on say, Delicate sound of Thunder.

There's also a great 8+ version of Any Colour off of the Holes in the Sky ROIO from 1974 which really showcases how amazing Wright is. Jesse Watching for Pigs on the Wing.

There a show from the early 70s...maybe 1971 (?) called Violence in Birmingham where you hear an early version of Us&Them called the Violent Sequence, which was originally created but not used for the Zabriskie Point movie. I heard the concert clip a long time ago. Sound quality was poor. The only recognizable part was the piano playing. I think the song was part of a medley of other stuff, including the maine theme from More.

Try WinMx. Usually a little slower, but generally a better selection.

D. Lee come on down:

The Violence Sequence from 1/23 also circulates (and is just the piano part). Also out there is the original studio piano track, which surfaced while they were scouting out stuff to add on as bonus tracks on the ZP remaster. It is, however, disappointingly poor in performance compared to the live versions, and especially compared to 'Us and Them' itself.

Purple Haze come on down:

This does, OTOH, explain Wavefrequency.
