npfr: MY VISIT TO THE KNEE DOCTOR

Well, I went to see the orthopedist yesterday...it's been 7 weeks since I had both knees replaced, and I'm healing up _really_ well. I can walk with the aid of a cane...and I can walk a short distance without one. The Dr told me if I'd only had one knee replaced, I would have been back in the hospital within a week...and there was no way in hell I was going thru that again. Both knees were shite. They feel better every day. That's great news since we're going to the Down From The Mountain concert on Valentines Day..sitting in the balconey. (the music from O Brother Where Art Thou) Rob, I feel your knee pain hon...you'll be okay. You guys were so great with your encouragement and cards and presents...thank you so much. My 7 inch vertical scars are almost healed, and I'm looking for some 'scar art' heh. Just wanted to give you an up-date.

I'm glad to hear you're doing so well, Kyla. I had a couple of biopsies done on my arm, recently. My right arm looks like a patchwork quilt. I feel your pain. The fun part, though, was that I got to do the pathology on it myself. The biopsies were done at the clinic, but they sent it to the hospital where I work. I just happen to be the one that sort of shit comes to. Kinda cool, working on your own stuff. How's that for morbid curiosity, April? ...Nim
