NPFR: PC Madness

Most of our non-UK posters might find this rather unbelievable but it is the case in this country that the level of political correctness has reached a point where you can not display your national flag or even admit to being British/English without being accused of being racist and having a pic of Hitler on your wall!

The Queen visited Romford market the other week and low and behold before her visit we had the predictable edict from the Labour council group 'Do not fly/display the Union Flag as it may be offensive to ethnic minorities' or words to that effect. I was down there 2 days after the visit and can happily report the place was plastered wall to wall with flags! A sort of collective 'up yours' to the loony left muppets. In fact this has been long lasting issue with the council who have repeatedly told the traders to not fly the union flag, and is always ignored. I was down there shortly after 9/11 and the place was plastered with Stars & Stripes too! Some points the PC brigade might want to consider in future:

1. There are barely any 'ethnic minorities' in Romford to take offence. 2. If these 'ethnic minorities' are so offended by our ways & customs, why are they here? 3. Why don't they protest? Simple answer to that is that they are not offended in any way by our flag.

And most importantly

4. These people seem keen to protect the rights & traditions of minorities but try their hardest to suppress the rights of others to achieve it. The ethnic harmony of Romford will not be achieved by persecuting the majority of people who live there.

Fair enough but they shouldn't try and shove their religion & customs down our throats.

Why so?

I don't know. Maybe the people there hate St. Albans.
