Just rented the first episode from Blockbuster and I love it. FBI Agent Cooper is so goofy and hilarous.

'they had some damn fine food'

I stopped the film early though because I've heard the ending gives away Laura Palmer's killer. Why would Warner Bros. release that kind of ending?

Number one thing on my list for my upcoming birthday is Season One on DVD. Oh, and also has this pilot ever been released on DVD as well?

BTW, what's Fire Walk With Me?

Typhoo112 wrut:

Are you talking about the pilot? If you are, the reason is that the pilot as originally broadcast in the U.S. had a different ending that _didn't_ contain the solution to the murder case. The pilot episode as released on home video

That explains a lot. I'm glad I got help on watching this right because I really would rather watch the rest of the series before finding out the killer.

I've also heard their is a scene cut out about a vision about LP's necklace. Anyway, if the pilot was shown theatriclly, wouldn't European audiences know something would be up with it?

Well, I watched the pilot already, but I need it on DVD because the VHS copy from the rental store has been played many times (that store is awfully old...they carry video tapes from 1983 with huge cardboard covers!!!... oh and it's a blockbuster by the way). I saw it on Amazon.com for about $30, so I may think about purchasing it...of course on the other hand I still have to save for Meddle...

Yeah, I saw it right by the 'Euro pilot', and was curious about it. I thought maybe it was like the series finale or something like that. Apparently I have heard of a list which is the order that should be watched:

Pilot First Season Second Season FWWM

and in between the first season and the second, some book that is the secret diary of Laura Palmer (some of it which was shown in the pilot) and Cooper's diary after the second season. I'm not sure if there's any other thing required after that, but I am getting ready already!

Thanks... you made me fell a hell of a lot better.

Yes , you have to stop when Sarah Palmer has a vision and sees the head of this grey hair man (that you will soon learn to know ... ; ) . In the true version, Sarah Palmer has a vision of a gloved hand taking the halfg heart off the ground in the forest ... End of the first episode.

For the people that have not seen the serie. To make it a whole story in a single movie. Just as Mulholland Drive has been transformed from one episode to a standalone movie.

No never been released ...

The last seven days of Laura Palmer. TO BE SEEN ONLY AFTER THE WHOLE SERIE !!!! (major spoilers inside !!)

Well, to each of his or her's own, I say.

ok that did not make sense at all but it sounded scientific!*

*that is not scientific, but a nice phrase, IMO

Yep... $15 for one auction > $30 for Amazon.

Anyway they are both factory sealed!

Nope, but I do want to see it. Coming out on DVD on 4/29 though. No special features, execpt for the trailer, bios, and production notes. But DD and DTS sound in 5.1!
