HI, SOLKS!

Wavy G here. I have a question for you, my friends, to hopefully get some friendly patter going amongst my fellow Internetters ('Erase the Hate!'. Let me start by saying that I heard some of my Catholic associates talking about 'Lent.' It is Lent time. And during Lent time you have to give up something. It's sposed to be something important or meaningful to you. So, what did you give up for Lent? Mind you, I am not Catholic; I was raised Christian. Our God doesn't require that we give up stuff for Lent. But if I were Catholic, I would give up skipping meals.

What about you? What did you (or would you) give up for Lent?

Love, Wavy G.

If I were you I would give up any aspirations of being a theology major. 'Mind you, I am not Catholic; I was raised Christian.'

Personally, I would give up superstition.

Don't confuse ambivalence with love.

Ah, but Christians of many brands consider Catholics more akin to Satanists, though it is funny to hear something like that coming from someone naming herself after a Catholic Saint.

I wish our president would.

BBC America is doing a Father Ted marathon for St. Patrick's Day. That show puts it all in perspective...
