In August of 2000 I was walking down Charing Cross Road in Westminster (London) to shoot a picture of Syd Barrett's old Earlham Street flat and saw an absolutely gorgeous '66 strat in a music shop window. It was all stock and will set you back 4200 pounds (about 6000 dollars). I took a picture of it and was just looking at the picture and saw that the store has a website. They still have that strat - if you want check it out at http://www.macaris.co.uk/system/index.html

click on vintage and scroll down and click the picture. I want this axe!

Great site, that has got to be one of the coolest music shop sites I have yet to see! Next on my list, Hiwatt Custom 100 head. The new owner Fernandez (sp?) lists them at $2600.00! Find them regularly on ebay for $700.00, but you have to ship from UK on almost all of them!

I'm out of my league when it comes to electronics but be careful buying anything with a plug in it from the UK (and vice versa) because of the differences in electricity. UK electric is like 240v at 50 Hz where ours is 110 at 60, or something like that. You can get converters of course.
