A two-parter, some say. Amazing. The Mail On Sunday's preview vomits thus:

Wish You'd Been Here

When Echoes, a compilation album of Pink Floyd's greatest hits, was released just before Christmas, it went straight to No 2 in the US music charts, just behind Britney Spears. In this two-part series, Bob Harris comprehensively examines the story of the world's first so-called prog-rock (short for progressive rock) band, which still boasts millions of devoted fans. As well as archive recordings of the group's rehearsals and recording sessions, the documentary also includes early interviews with original band member Syd Barrett, who had a breakdown, reportedly brought about by drug use, in the Sixties and now lives in seclusion in Cambridge. Those musing on Pink Floyd's powerful and continuing influence on today's performers include Bob Geldof, Gerald Scarfe and band members Nick Mason and Dave Gilmour.

So there we have it. The feature on the BBC website's nowhere to be found though.

Ken, I posted about this a week or so ago. I emailed Radio 2 about it (it will be aired on Radio 2) and they said that it will be broadcast in the first week of February and a feature about the documentary will be on the Radio 2 website a week before. So, very soon another words!
