If you are so disgusted with America, why haven't you taken your family and emigrated? Surely you have skills that would be useful in another country. After liquidation of all your assets you could hardly be too poor to be allowed into just about any place you wanted to go.

In Jeff's case, it means this because of his empty blather about how he was going to move out of it if this happened or that happened.

It doesn't. Jeff has made a big deal of leaving the country for various reasons for quite some time. I was just asking him, in all seriousness, what the hold up was. Seriously, since he seems to want to move so badly, there must be a reason he can't go ahead and do it.

I've already seriously addressed this issue elsewhere. You are right, financially it would not be a problem for me to go almost anywhere I choose. But that's not the point. I still have 10 years left to hope that things improve here.

I have no idea where you people are getting this. I never made such a statement in my life. My wish to emigrate is not based on any prestated set of criteria. I challenge anyone to produce something I wrote stating otherwise. I hope that America *does* change for the better. In the end, it is still my home, but even a home can become a place of discomfort.
