anyone familiar with this recording (vegetable man), i have it on MP3 so no info at all. but would like to know when it was recorded etc......cant find any reference to this song anywhere. theres a guy introducing the song as 'a lost track' (barratt)

This song was recorded in 1967 and was intended to be the b-side of the third single, which was to be Scream Thy Last Scream & Vegetable Man. Due to the dropping of Syd and bringing in of Dave they aborted that single and we got a new album (Saucerful Of Secrets) and the Apples And Oranges single. Both Scream Thy Last Scream and Vegetable Man remain unreleased officially to this day. They are, however, included on the ever popular 18 disc Tree Full Of Secrets set, both with mono versions of the songs and again in stereo. You may want to check out the Tree Full Of Secrets if you can. James
